    Description

    Maker:
This beautiful antique porcelain teapot has the green wreath mark of the renowned Japanese maker Morimura Brothers, the company that eventually became Noritake. This mark came into use in 1911.
    Design
: Morimura Nippon porcelain is justifiably famous for its high quality and this fine porcelain teapot is no exception. It is classically designed and richly decorated, with raised gold encrustation or moriage highlighting the exquisite and finely painted waterside scenes that wrap around the entire teapot.
    Condition
: Despite its age, the teapot is in overall excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, repairs or crazing. There is noticeable wear to the lid handle and light wear to the teapot handle; it's visible in the photos. There is a small dark spot on the spout; that too is shown in the photos.
    Size
: The teapot is 8 5/8 inches wide between the tip of the spout and the far end of the handle, 4 inches wide at the center and 3 3/8 inches tall at the top of the handle. With the lid, it weighs 1 pound 1 ounce.
Please check all the photos very carefully – they are an important part of the description.
