Description
This is a beautiful late-1800s Meiji period small cloisonné Japanese teapot. It is mostly made of green enamel with hundreds of small curled wire design. The design is multi-colored with small cherry blossom-looking flowers and other circular designs. The lid has a solid brass knob that is tightly fastened and has a great old patina. The inside of the teapot is blue enamel. There are no cracks, chips, damage, or flaws that I can find. Excellent condition. It measures 3.25" tall x 5.5" wide from the spout to the end of the handle.
