Gene Marshall Doll DESTINY in Box w/shipper & COA - 1998 - Ashton Drake - 16"

Description

Up for sale is this 1998 Gene Marshall DESTINY doll in her original white display box
with the silver "Gene" decal on the lid.  Inside the box, she is covered by the Ashton Drake
tissue paper and, when that is opened, Gene's head and swept-over hairstyle are protected
by a plastic
insert cover that keeps dust away.
She is dressed in a deep green, strapless evening gown with ruffled gold trim across the top
and down the side.  She wears evening gloves, stockings, and a gold, ruffled petticoat,
as well as matching shoes
.  She comes with a display stand, a pamphlet about the
outfit
she's wearing, and a COA (Certificate of Authenticity). She also has a Gene card attached
to her wrist with a delicate ribbon bow, and she is tied securely in her box with another white ribbon.
There is a small necklace in a plastic pouch attached to the inside of the box that can be removed
and put around her neck.
This doll was purchased from a mail order doll shop 21 years ago and was displayed briefly,
then put away and has been stored in our non-smoking home(s) ever since.
The COA and pamphlet were not in the usual plastic bag that comes with Gene dolls, so it's
possible the doll shop had displayed her before we purchased her and misplaced the plastic bag,
but the COA and pamphlet are in like new condition, as is Gene.
She will be mailed in her original brown Ashton Drake shipping box (19" x 7" x 5") as seen in photo.
