The semi-mount ring is marked 17058 and MWI PLAT (platinum). The size 7-3/4 ring tapers in width from 8.82mm top center down to 5.12mm bottom center. The center four-corner-prong square setting is empty and will need the tops of the four corner prongs repaired/re-tipped to be used again. It would fit approximately a 6.50- 7.00mm square stone. Each edge of each cathedral shoulder has a row of 7 invisibly set princess cut diamonds, totaling 28. They measure 1.75-1.80mm square and they are estimated to weigh 0.03-0.043ct. each.
They are VS1-VS2 in clarity (1 is set at an angle overlapping the next diamond- shown in bottom left photo (of the appraisal) and it reveals a chipped corner under magnification) and they appear to be G-H in color. Running beneath the center setting is a center row of 11 invisibly set princess cut diamonds. They measure 2.00-2.10mm square and they are estimated to weigh 0.04-0.06ct. each. They are VS1-VS2 in clarity and they appear to be G-H in color. One shoulder has one burnish set trillion cut diamond (shown photo above-on appraisal) measuring approximately 1.60mm X 1.50mm in length and width, and it is estimated to weigh 0.02ct. It is VS2 in clarity and appears to be G-H in color. Total estimated diamond weight is 1.59cts. The platinum is estimated to weigh 8.16 pennyweights. The ring was cast and handset with a bright polished finish. The ring is in fair but repairable condition (the aforementioned center four-corner-prongs will need to be re-tipped and the one grooved/ invisibly set princess cut may need to be replaced).
This style of ring can not be sized up and the only way to size down would be with a semi-permanent ring guard or sizing cleats or insert.
