Ashton Drake Galleries Collectible Gene Doll “Lucky Stripe” In Original Box. Here you have I believe one of Ashton Drake Galleries’ best! This is a 1995 Gene Doll called “Lucky Stripe”. I described this as a 1995 because that is the year that is on her body. Lucky Stripe is a stylishly tailored afternoon ensemble, circa 1949. The square necked dress which is horizontally striped in black and taupe with long sleeves and a narrow knee length skirt is just perfect. The skirt is asymmetrically draped onto one hip with a falling panel of vertical stripes. A large black satin hat comes with its own two hat pins,the black satin drum shaped purse, with a golden bead closure and golden detail on the handle. Short red gloves add a flash of color. The outfit includes onyx looking teardrop earrings, hose, and black shoes. Gene's long blonde hair is swept back and gathered with a braided knot. Her fingernails and her toenails are painted red. Also includes a wrist tag, doll stand, booklet, and a Certificate of Authenticity all in her original box. All in excellent condition, with no stains or odor. She has been kept in the box since we received her. I removed her for the photos. One owner.
