    Description

    This is an antique Japnese tetsubin (teapot) dating to the mid Meiji era (c. 1880) and signed on the inside of the bronze lid with the name of the famous Japanese maker:
    Ryubundo
    (see picture 6). The iron handle folds down for storage (see picture 5).   Relief images of pine cones and pine needles grace both sides.  The bronze lid has a chrysanthemum bud top (see picture 7 & 8).
